Thomas Zahler's Time and Vine and a Whole Lot More

George celebrates our penultimate episode with writer, artist, creator, and all-around good guy, Thomas Zahler. Thom is the creative force behind Love and Capes, Long Distance, Time and Vine, and the ongoing webcomic Warning Label available on Webtoons and www.bit.ly/warninglabel. George talks to Thom about the creative process, the research behind Time and Vine, the comic con circuit, and why he lives in the House That Meredith Bought. For all things Thom Zahler, please check out his website www.thomz.com and follow him on Twitter @thomzahler.

And don't forget to join us next week for our 200th, and final, episode of The George and Tony Entertainment Show.

Deck The Halls With Kevin Starkey

You have heard his name mentioned on the show for no reason whatsoever over the past few weeks. It has been a mysterious ear worm, a curious subplot, a question you didn't even know you wanted answered. Well, get ready everybody, because this week you meet Kevin Starkey at last!

George introduces you to his guest co-host and our heroes discuss Halloween Comic Fest Crud, cosplaying, Inktober, social anxiety, Toast Masters, comic books, and, of course, the Hallmark Channel's Countdown To Christmas movie marathon.

Has your interest been piqued? As a result of this episode, Kevin revamped his website, http://2dogknight.com, which includes links to his You Tube content from a few years ago as mentioned on the show.

We apologize for the buzz on our audio this week. Unfortunately, it wasn't Buzz Burbank.

The Heart of NOVACON

George is joined by guest co-host Tom McKeon, otherwise known as the Heart of NOVACON. NOVACON (www.thenovacon.com) was the comic, gaming, cosplaying, pop culture event held at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, VA July 28-30 this year. Last week you heard George speak with Ming Chen from AMC's Comic Book Men at the convention (check out episode 183 in our archives at www.georgeandtony.com) and you heard George and his nephew Frank discuss their volunteering experiences. This week, Tom tells George about his own adventures volunteering in almost all aspects of the show.

We had originally planned a round table discussion about NOVACON but scheduling conflicts prevented that. Not only did Tom provide more than enough behind-and-in-front-of-the-scenes stories, George also had a chance to record a conversation with Kevin Bednarz, one of the key players behind NOVACON. This episode provides a nice epilogue to NOVACON 2017.

He also tells George about the new Nintendo Switch and his favorite video game of 2016 (and a strong contender for 2017 already).  Plus, Adam got married since the last time he was on the show (episode 143; check our archives on iTunes if you haven't listened yet).

Gallifrey One 2017

Rob Shade, the man who designed the logo for Buzz Burbank News and Comment (another great show on the RELM Network), returns to fill in for Tony so he can tell George about his adventures at Gallifrey One, the 29th Annual North American Doctor Who celebration. His awkward encounters with Naoko Mori are worth the price of admission but he doesn't stop there as he shares stories about panels, meeting John Hurt last year, and schools George on Blake's 7 and The Thick Of it. It's a lot of British pop culture thrown into one episode. Plus, George checks out the Alex Ross exhibit at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. And, of course, Rob rants.

Please help grow the show by sharing our links on your social media pages and leaving us those much coveted five star reviews on iTunes. Thank you for listening and supporting the little podcast that can.

George and Tony Entertainment Show #153

Alright Hamilton!

Happy New Year! How do our heroes top the "modest proposal" of marriage from last week (if you haven't heard it yet, check out episode 152 in our archives on iTunes)? They feature a discussion of the hottest Broadway show on the planet; that's how. George is joined by none other than his wife, Connie, to talk about seeing the play that took the world by storm in 2016 - Hamilton.

And speaking about the proposal from last week, we offer some extra content that was not included in that episode to spotlight the happy couple, Rob and Amy, yet again. It's a nice way to put a cap on 2016 and start 2017 with a much needed positive vibe.

If we have whet your appetite about Hamilton, please do not forget the original Broadway cast recording is available via Amazon (that's where George got it) and we ask that you use the Amazon link at www.georgeandtony.com when making that and all your future online purchases.

We're young, scrappy, and hungry and we're not throwing away our shot!
