A Modest Proposal

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Kwanzaa!

After appearing on the show in episode 127 (check our archives at www.georgeandtony.com), Rob Shade, the man who designed the logo for Buzz Burbank News and Comment (www.buzzburbank.libsyn.com) right here on the RELM Network (www.relmnetwork.com), makes his triumphant return to the boiler room studio along with his girlfriend, Amy Fredericks. Amy is an astronomer and naturally questions about the stars come up, along with discussions about their mutual love of DisneyLand and how they embrace geek culture.

Do not miss the last third of the show where something extra special happens. Let's just say Rob and Amy exited the studio as different people compared to when they entered. While we can't say this is a first for podcasts, it can't occur very often.

Happy New Year!

Stocking Stuffer

Due to holiday preparations and festive events, our heroes only had time to record a condensed, stocking stuffer sized version of their landmark 150th episode. Hey, it's better than coal!

Tony gives his spoiler-free review of Doctor Strange. George tells us a little bit about Paper Girls, published by Image Comics, and a lot about his current guilty TV pleasures. Plus, he tells a story about his father and the late, great Don Calfa. Editor's Note: George made a mistake regarding Mr. Calfa's filmography - he appeared in Return of the Living Dead, not Night of the Living Dead.

Please use the Amazon link at www.georgeandtony.com for all your holiday shopping needs. All George and Tony want for Christmas are more five star reviews on iTunes and for you to share their links on your social media pages. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

You Dropped A Bomb On Me

We swear we had no intention of spending almost the entire episode talking about the results of the 2016 Presidential election but what did we think would happen when we recorded the day after Election Day? You've heard the pundits, you've read the posts on social media, now it's time to listen to two average podcasters talk about these historic events.

Baltimore Comic Con 2016 Act III

The trio. The triumvirate. The trifecta. All great things deserve a trilogy...but we gave ourselves one anyway. This is the third and final installment featuring interviews George conducted at this year's Baltimore Comic Con. Well, these two SHOULD have been done at the convention but thanks to user error, the discussions on this week's show were done as a post script after the show.

First up is podcasting icon Darrell Taylor of www.taylornetworkofpodcasts.com who trusted George to hit the record button this time. He talks about podcasting, comics, and an unhealthy infatuation with current Batman scribe Tom King...all from the lean, mean streets of New York City. Then we hear from artist and entrepeneur Kevin Bednarz of Comic Logic in Ashburn, VA (www.comiclogicva.com) who tells us about all his business ventures: Comic Logic, The Ashburn Pub, and the latest and greatest Comic Con for you to get excited about in July 2017 - NOVACON!!! All that plus geocaching and MCA Day.

Darrell was also on episode 93 and you can briefly hear Kevin at the end of episode 66 (recorded at Comic Logic on Free Comic Book Day 2015). Comic Book Fever by George Khoury

Tony is finally taking his PMP exam this week so think good thoughts, Team GATES!!!

We keep hearing all the other shows talking about a sports game where some broncos played against some panthers and all the accompanying commercials. Anyone can do that. This time, George and Mara discuss her dissertation then have some fun talking comics, talking Shojo, talking Star Wars, and talking podcasts. Mara regularly appears on The Missfits, Talking Shojo, and the new Legendary Runs, all of which may be found on iTunes and http://talkingcomicbooks.com.

We are trying to grow the show in 2016 and we cannot do it without you. Please share and subscribe, especially on iTunes. Introduce your hairdresser to podcasting and help make the world a better place. Thank you for listening.

Snowmageddon 2016 with Bryan Loy

We interrupt our regularly scheduled second anniversary episode (yes, the boys forgot it was their anniversary) with this special report about the blizzard of 2016. Snowmageddon has hit the east coast and George and guest co-host Bryan Loy (https://www.youtube.com/user/tenbucksathrow), from Ten Bucks a Throw podcast, cover the event from the Snowzilla HQ in the boiler room studios. George tells us about his adventures in shoveling, then our heroes fit in movie talk. Bryan tells us about some of the best and worst films of 2015. Don't miss his appearances on the show Picture Lock (http://picturelockshow.com). Plus, what is Bryan reading?

Our apologies to Rich Gollhofer and Kristina Moorhead of Comic Logic in Ashburn, VA (www.comiclogicva.com). They were the scheduled guests for this week's show. Dennis The Cynic's Hat Trick

Tony has begun his hiatus from the show to prep for his PMP exam. This week, George is joined by Dennis the Cynic, the co-host of The City That Breeds and The Gaming Marathon, both on the RELM Network. Can he hit the trifecta and become the co-host of this show, too? Find out as our heroes discuss the Baltimore riots of 2015, fitness plans, driving cross country in two days, Star Trek, and...POLITICS??!! And what the heck is The City That Breeds Games For Kirk's Entertainment Show At Marc's Pizzeria? Darned if we know!

Dennis is known as Dennis the Cynic on all forms of social media, including Facebook and Twitter. Check out his website at www.dennisthecynic.com. And don't forget to listen to The City That Breeds and The Gaming Marathon and all the other fine shows on the RELM Network.

Lists

Tony is back, but don't get too comfortable. At least he is here this week to tell us about his holiday celebrations, his studying techniques, and his opinions of Yahoo's Top 20 Video Games of 2015. Not to be outdone, George lists some movies he has seen recently and none of them are recent (OK, one was from 2014...but one was from 1979). Plus, George shares some of the comics and graphic novels he enjoyed in 2015. One of them may surprise you. Can anyone say Sunstone?

Our grassroots effort continues. Our show is more than just comics and gaming and we want you to let your friends, family, and mortal enemies know that. Please share the show with them. If they have never listened to a podcast before, this is a great way to introduce them to the medium. And, please, keep those five-star reviews coming in iTunes or wherever you find the show. Thank you. We appreciate your support.

Star Wars, Disney, and Chucky Baby

Happy New Year! While Tony continues to celebrate the arrival of 2016, welcome to the George and Chucky Baby Entertainment Show! Chucky Baby is the term of endearment we use every week to thank Chuck Strauch for designing our fantastic logo. Chuck joins George this week to talk about wrapping up the holidays, Star Wars: The Force Awakens (with no spoilers), and our mutual love of Disney theme parks and resorts.

You'd think Disney would be a logical sponsor of this episode but you would be wrong. Instead, we would like to ask that you use the Amazon link at www.georgeandtony.com to redeem all those Amazon gift cards you got for Christmas...and just use it for all your online shopping in general.

Plus, this is the year we want to step up our grass roots effort to spread the word about the show. Please leave us a five star review on iTunes and introduce your friends and family to the show. 2016 - The Year We Grow The Show...with your help! Thank you.
